Welcome to Proposal Ninja Photography! We are Rose and Juan, a duo brought together by fate, creativity, and a shared passion for photography. Our journey began in Japan, where we both arrived on working holiday visas, seeking solace from the professional grind and pressures back home in Australia and Canada.
It was early 2023, Both of us were at a crossroads in our lives: Juan, born into a family of photographers, was a content creator and photographer laid off due to industry redundancies. Rose, a freelance experience designer, artist, and art director, faced the challenges of the everchanging industry. We both sought a rest, reset, and a new purpose in a world where creativity seemed undervalued. Drawn to Japan’s landscapes and culture, we hoped to find our “Ikigai”.
Despite being from opposite ends of the world, we met in Japan through a mutual friend early in our travels, having never crossed paths before. We quickly discovered our shared love for photography, art, design, travel, and making memories. As we explored Japan together, our bond grew stronger. We wandered through mountainous valleys, explored the hidden nooks and crannies of cities like Tokyo and Osaka, splashed along the coasts, visited unique and eccentric museums, hiked volcanoes, skied down famous snowy slopes, and savored the diverse regional cuisines.
As the year progressed, friends and family began visiting us in Japan, each with unique reasons and interests. We designed incredible itineraries based on our personal experiences, tailoring each journey to create unforgettable memories.
Our big break came when a friend asked us to capture his proposal to his long-term girlfriend. Combining Juan’s photography skills with Rose’s location recommendations, we successfully captured that magical moment. Touched by love and with tears in our eyes, Proposal Ninja Photography was born.
Since then, we’ve grown our business into more than just capturing proposals. We create total experiences filled with joy, adventure, and romance, ensuring that the biggest moments of your life are unforgettable.
