Venture around Omihachiman

This area is scenic with its old town and a very lovely landscape outside a delicious Baumkuchen cake bakery housed within an architecturally impressive building.

Follow this up with a short stroll around the Old town with traditional buildings, giving you a true sense of old Japan minus the major crowds.

  • Its said that there are more tourists around than before here, but no where as near as how many you would find in the major spots.
  • Visit La Collina close to closing hours or early opening hours. This is when you’d see the least tourists around like the pictures featured here. But if you do, you must take your photos quickly as they will try to usher you out.
  • Must try the cakes, they’re delicious
  • The location has expanded so there is more than what is featured here in the shots
